Manama: Vatel Bahrain participated in the Grand Oral examination at Vatel N®mes, France, to observe its structure and train on its assessment methodologies. The examination is held annually and constitutes the final assessment for graduating students pursuing a bachelor's degree in International Hotel Management.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this academic engagement involves the evaluation of student knowledge and competencies in line with the rigorous standards established by the Vatel Group. The participation provided the Vatel Bahrain delegation with valuable exposure to contemporary oral assessment techniques that place emphasis on evaluation aspects, measurement indicators, student performance, and the administrative aspects of the process.
Beyond its evaluative function, the occasion serves as a platform for cross-campus academic exchange, enhancing dialogue among participants and enabling the adoption of shared best practices in student performance assessment.
Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Director of Vatel Bahrain, emphasised the value of participating in the Grand Oral examination, noting it helps ensure Vatel Bahrain's practices align with Vatel France's standards and demonstrates the school's commitment to excellence in hospitality education. He added that the experience provided the academic team with valuable insights into international evaluation standards, which will help enhance the institution's academic systems and maintain alignment with global best practices.
