UPDA Approves Ninth Batch of Detailed Land Use Plans

Manama: Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, Chief Executive of the Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA), announced the completion and approval of the ninth batch under the Authority's project to update ownership documents for detailed land use plans.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the UPDA has urged all property owners to take the necessary steps within 90 days of this announcement to complete the update of their ownership documents for specific detailed plans. These include plots in Karana and Hala Abdulsaleh (Plots 426, 444, 460), Sadad (Plot 1037), Al Qala'a (Plot 438), East Al Hidd, and Jannusan (Plots 502, 504, 506).

Al Khayyat detailed that property owners wishing to update their ownership documents need to submit a copy of the title deed, a copy of the survey certificate if the title deed is old, and a copy of the identity card. In cases where a representative submits the application, an authorised power of attorney signed by the property owner and a completed application form must be provided.

He further explained that the necessary procedures could be completed by submitting a property status enquiry via email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) or through the Urban Planning Services e-platform 'Planning' at [www.planning.bh](http://www.planning.bh).

Al Khayyat highlighted that if the 90-day deadline for updating ownership documents is not met, the UPDA will refer the case to the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture to implement the Expropriation Law for public benefit for planning or re-planning purposes.
