The Head of the UNSMIL, Abdoulaye Bathily, announced yesterday the agreement with the High Council of State (HCS) on the need to finalize the electoral draft law.
“Today, I had a meeting with the HCS President, Mohamed Takala, and members of the Presidency Office, and we agreed on the need to finalize the electoral drat laws, taking into account the observations provided by stakeholders to make them implementable.” Bathily said in a tweet.
The two sides emphasized that key stakeholders should engage in a constructive dialogue to reach a political agreement on contentious issues pertaining to the holding of elections.
