UNRWA: More than 50,000 children in Gaza with acute malnutrition

Amman: more than 50,000 children in the Gaza Strip suffer from acute malnutrition and needed treatment, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said Saturday.

With the continued restrictions on aid, Gaza residents are still facing desperate levels of hunger, it said on X, adding that its teams are working tirelessly to reach families, but the situation is “catastrophic.”

The humanitarian conditions and the suffering of people in Gaza are deteriorating increasingly by the day amid the ongoing closure of crossings, which halted the flow of aid and medical supplies and prevented thousands of sick and injured from traveling abroad for treatment.
