Manama: The University of Bahrain (UoB) has launched a new digital service that allows both local and international entities to verify the authenticity of documents issued by the university through the national portal bahrain.bh. This initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance and streamline public services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the service enables embassies, institutions, and companies within and outside Bahrain to confirm the validity of certificates, transcripts, and official statements issued by UoB via official channels. The upgraded service has significantly decreased the processing time for verification requests from two working days to one. It also improves service efficiency by providing unified information across all service channels and reducing service-level timelines.
Dr. Fouad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, stated that the initiative aligns with the university's digital transformation plans. It aims to enhance the reliability of university-issued documents and facilitate faster and more accurate verification processes for external entities. He emphasized that the launch is indicative of the university's commitment to expanding cooperation with local and international institutions and delivering advanced digital services in accordance with evolving digital transformation standards.
This initiative is part of a broader government effort to modernize and re-engineer public services. Over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with approximately 800 services undergoing development and restructuring across various sectors. These efforts aim to improve efficiency, service quality, and user experience, while supporting Bahrain's overarching digital transformation goals.
