Manama: The University of Bahrain has announced an enhancement to its enrolment certificate issuance service, aligning with government initiatives to improve service quality and streamline procedures.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the upgraded service allows students to obtain official certificates, such as proof of enrolment, registration status, expected graduation, non-enrolment, temporary withdrawal, final withdrawal, and admission certificates, via the national portal, bahrain.bh. The process has been optimized from a three-day processing time to instant issuance, thanks to full automation. Certificates are now issued digitally with a QR code, ensuring authenticity, validity, and compliance with official records while reducing the risk of misuse.
Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, emphasized that these service enhancements reflect the university's commitment to adopting digital solutions to improve efficiency and augment the student experience. He highlighted that the new system reduces time and effort for both students and institutions, enhancing operational efficiency. The service benefits a range of users-from newly admitted and enrolled students to those expected to graduate or who have withdrawn-enabling them to select and issue certificates quickly via the national portal.
The enhancement is part of broader government efforts to re-engineer and develop over 1,300 documented government services, with around 800 currently undergoing improvement. These initiatives are informed by feedback from various channels, including the National System for Suggestions and Complaints, Tawasul, and secret shopper reports, all aimed at enhancing service quality and supporting the government's digital transformation journey.
