New york: Ambassador Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Abdallah Al Dardari, Assistant Secretary General, Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Jalahma underlined the strength of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UNDP. He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to enhancing and developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, aligning with the nation's dedication to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals under Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. He also acknowledged the role of the UNDP in supporting Bahrain's development efforts.
Dr. Al Dardari praised the cooperation with the Kingdom and confirmed the UNDP's commitment to further developing the partnership and expanding technical cooperation. He highlighted that this aims to support the development of national programmes and initiatives targeted at achieving sustainable development.
The meeting was attended by Hatem Abdulhamid Hatem, Head of the Organisations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
