New york: Ambassador Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, participated in the first ministerial dialogue on digital cooperation, held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Jalahma emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to digital transformation as a core aspect of its national strategies. This commitment includes the development of digital infrastructure, the promotion of innovation, enhancement of e-government services, and strengthening of cybersecurity, all in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He highlighted the importance of international cooperation within the digital economy, praising the efforts of the Digital Cooperation Organisation, an entity Bahrain helped establish. Ambassador Al Jalahma also reiterated the Kingdom's backing for the UN's initiatives to create a secure and reliable digital space, which aims to achieve sustainable development and enhance global prosperity.
