New york: Ambassador Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, participated in the high-level ministerial meeting of the Group of 77 and China, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, held in New York.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Jalahma emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation among Southern nations to achieve equitable and comprehensive development. He highlighted the necessity of intensifying international efforts to address economic, climate, and development challenges that align with the interests of developing countries and strengthen international solidarity.
Ambassador Al Jalahma also reiterated the Kingdom's dedication to supporting sustainable development, promoting security and stability, and advocating for just causes, particularly the Palestinian cause. He affirmed Bahrain's consistent stance on supporting the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state based on the two-state solution, in line with international legitimacy resolutions. Additionally, he emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages and detainees, and the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid.
The meeting included the participation of Hatem Abdulhamid Hatem, Head of the Organisations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
