UN: The number of displaced people in the Gaza Strip has reached 1.9 million people

Baghdad: The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Gaza announced on Tuesday that the number of displaced people in the Strip has reached 1.9 million people.

The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, told the UN Security Council: “More than a million people have been displaced again.. and they are desperately searching for shelter and safety.”

She continued, saying: “Today, there are 1.9 million people displaced throughout Gaza.. I am deeply concerned about reports that new evacuation orders have been issued in the Khan Yunis area.”

On Monday, the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of neighborhoods in the Khan Yunis and Rafah areas in the southern Gaza Strip, while a state of panic prevailed among the residents of the area.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated in its daily statistical report that the number of victims as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 270th day has risen to 37,925 martyrs, in addition to 87,141 others injured. The Minist
ry said that “the Israeli army committed 3 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, 25 martyrs and 81 injuries arrived at hospitals during the past 24 hours.” / End
