The UK expressed its support for the decision of the Presidential Council on the formation of a High Financial Committee to follow up on public spending.
“The UK appreciates the efforts of the Presidential Council to bring together institutions from across Libya to discuss public spending and promote transparency.” The UK Embassy in Libya said in a statement.
“We urge Libya’s leaders to put the Libyan people first and make the choices and compromises necessary to find an equitable and fair distribution of Libya’s public resources,” the embassy added.
