Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates is set to host the 39th meeting of the International Cospas Sarsat Programme, a global satellite-based search and rescue organization, in Abu Dhabi from May 27 to June 5, 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event is organized by the National Search and Rescue Centre of the UAE National Guard and will take place at the Conrad Hotel. It is expected to gather more than 200 experts from 45 countries.
The ten-day meeting is recognized as the world's largest forum for satellite-assisted rescue operations. It will bring together leading international organizations, including the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
The agenda will feature sessions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of search and rescue systems. Additionally, an exhibition will showcase the latest technologies, further reinforcing the UAE's position as a global hub for innovation and humanitarian cooperation.
