UAE President Engages in Strategic Energy Talks with US National Energy Dominance Council Chair

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed the Honourable Doug Burgum, Secretary of the United States Department of the Interior and Chairman of the National Energy Dominance Council, during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2025).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions between HH Sheikh Mohamed and Secretary Burgum centered on strengthening the ties between the UAE and the United States, with a particular focus on energy, artificial intelligence, and innovation. The two leaders explored avenues for enhancing collaboration to benefit both nations.

HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also observed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating cooperation in energy and artificial intelligence. The agreement is designed to foster industrial transformation and economic growth, contributing to a resilient economy and strengthening national economic security.

Under the MoU, the UAE and the United States will collaborate on several critical areas, with an emphasis on enhancing industrial capabilities and adopting smart manufacturing technologies. The partnership seeks to revolutionize industrial processes, production planning, and logistics by leveraging artificial intelligence, improving energy efficiency, managing smart grids, enabling predictive maintenance, and advancing energy storage systems.

The agreement also includes the application of AI in robotics, materials engineering, and automation. Further, it aims to promote technical and research collaboration, knowledge sharing, skills development, and capacity building through specialized training programs.

The MoU aligns with the UAE's ambition to establish itself as a global hub for industry and advanced technology, in accordance with its National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology.
