Manama: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received a telephone call from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine. During the call, discussions focused on means to enhance cooperation across various domains within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two leaders also reviewed the latest developments in the Ukraine crisis and its humanitarian implications. They discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest, stressing the importance of intensifying efforts to promote regional and global peace, security, and stability to support the development and well-being of peoples around the world, as reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
President Zelenskyy expressed appreciation for the UAE's continued diplomatic efforts to facilitate prisoner exchanges between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. He also acknowledged the UAE's sustained focus on addressing the humanitarian aspects of the crisis.
