Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received His Excellency Ahmed Al Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, who is on a working visit to Abu Dhabi.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and means to enhance cooperation, particularly in the development and economic domains, in support of mutual interests and the progress and prosperity of both peoples.
They also exchanged views on regional issues of shared concern and emphasised the importance of strengthening the foundations of peace, security, and stability in the Middle East.
