The leaders discussed the relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, focusing on enhancing cooperation across various sectors to serve mutual interests and support their peoples' aspirations for progress.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting underscored the strong brotherly ties between the two countries, with both leaders expressing a commitment to ongoing consultation amidst regional developments. A significant part of their discussion addressed regional issues, including a condemnation of the recent Israeli attack on Qatar. Both leaders described the attack as a violation of Qatari sovereignty and a threat to regional security, warning against further escalation.
The leaders expressed solidarity with Qatar, supporting efforts to maintain its security and territorial integrity. The meeting was attended by key figures from the UAE, including H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other senior officials, as well as Bahraini sheikhs and ministers.
The meeting concluded with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's departure from Bahrain, where he was seen off by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and senior officials.
