UAE President and Egyptian Counterpart Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who is visiting Abu Dhabi.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed discussed with President El Sisi bilateral relations and cooperation, and means to strengthen them, particularly in areas that serve the shared development priorities of the two countries and contribute to the prosperity of their peoples.

They also reviewed regional developments and their implications for regional and international security and stability, and exchanged views on them. President El Sisi reiterated Egypt's condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities in the UAE. The Egyptian President affirmed Egypt's solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its territory and citizens.

HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President El Sisi also visited the Egyptian fighter jet detachment stationed in the UAE to review readiness and efforts made to enhance operational capabilities and preparedness for various challenges.
