Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, to discuss pressing regional developments.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on the heightened military escalation in the region and its implications for regional and international security. The talks also addressed the serious impact of these developments on international maritime security and the global economy. Both leaders expressed concerns over continued Iranian attacks targeting the UAE, Qatar, and other regional countries, which have impacted civilians, facilities, and critical infrastructure.
The meeting underscored the importance of safeguarding security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, alongside ensuring the safety of citizens. Additionally, the two leaders explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and joint action aimed at serving mutual interests and promoting prosperity for their peoples.
