UAE Attorney-General Orders Arrest of 25 Defendants for Misleading Content and Glorifying Aggression

Abu dhabi: Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney-General of the United Arab Emirates, has ordered the arrest of 25 individuals of various nationalities and referred them for an expedited trial for their involvement in publishing and circulating misleading digital content intended to cause confusion, undermine public security, and harm the stability of the UAE.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the defendants were divided into three groups: the first published authentic clips of the aggressions and their effects; the second fabricated clips using artificial intelligence techniques to create false incidents; and the third promoted a state committing acts of aggression and glorified its leadership and military actions.

The Attorney-General confirmed that the defendants have been placed in preventive detention and that strict legal measures will be taken against anyone exploiting cyberspace to harm public security or mislead the community.
