Dubai: The United Arab Emirates affirmed the stability of food supplies in its local markets, noting the large availability of consumer goods, vegetables, and fruits, alongside a noticeable decline in their prices thanks to the continuous inflow of shipments and agricultural crops from various countries around the world.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this announcement was made by Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, during an inspection tour at the fruit and vegetable market in the Al Aweer area of Dubai. The minister's visit focused on reviewing market activity, monitoring price levels, and assessing the market's readiness to meet the country's needs.
During his review of the unloading of new food shipments, the minister explained that markets are witnessing a clear decline in prices that had not been recorded just a few days ago. He expects this decline to continue with the arrival of additional supplies, which will directly increase the volume of goods available.
The UAE Minister of Economy urged consumers to limit purchases to their actual needs and avoid excessive stockpiling of goods. He emphasized that products are available and that there is no shortage of supplies. The ministry will continue to monitor market conditions and address any challenges that consumers may face.
