Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and His Excellency Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, held discussions concerning regional security developments amidst ongoing military escalations. These discussions focused on the implications for regional and international peace and security, as well as the impact on international navigation and the global economy.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting took place in Abu Dhabi, where His Highness the UAE President welcomed President Zelenskyy, who is on a working visit to the UAE. The visit highlighted the solid relations between the two nations.
The dialogue also touched on the continued Iranian aggression targeting the UAE and other regional countries, including attacks on civilians and infrastructure. President Zelenskyy condemned these actions, indicating they violate sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter, thereby undermining regional and international peace and security.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE's approach of handling the situation with wisdom and restraint, showcasing its commitment to avoiding further tensions.
