UAE Air Defences Successfully Intercept Iranian Missiles and UAVs

Abu dhabi: The air defences of the United Arab Emirates successfully intercepted five ballistic missiles and 17 UAVs that were launched from Iran.

According to Bahrain News Agency, since the commencement of these attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted a total of 357 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,806 UAVs. These incidents have resulted in the martyrdom of two members of the armed forces while they were performing their national duties. Additionally, there have been six fatalities involving individuals of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities.

A total of 161 individuals sustained injuries in these attacks, with the severity ranging from minor to severe. The injured hail from various countries, including the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Trkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden, and Tunisia.

The Ministry of Defence has emphasized its readiness to handle any forthcoming threats, maintaining a firm stance on confronting anything that seeks to compromise the country's security. The ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring the protection of the UAE's sovereignty, security, and stability, while safeguarding its interests and national capabilities.
