UAE Air Defences Intercept Nine UAVs from Iran


Abu dhabi: The UAE announced that its air defence systems intercepted nine unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran. Since the onset of the Iranian aggression, UAE air defences have intercepted 357 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,815 UAVs.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the attacks resulted in the fall of three members of the armed forces while performing their national duty, in addition to six civilian fatalities of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities. A total of 166 people were also injured, with cases ranging from minor to moderate and severe, including nationals of several countries, according to the Emirates news agency (WAM).



The Ministry of Defence affirmed its full readiness to address any threats, stressing that it will firmly confront any attempts to undermine the UAE’s security in a manner that safeguards its sovereignty, stability, and national interests.
