Jeddah:The UAE football team has advanced to the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup 27, finishing at the top of Group B after a 1-1 draw with Qatar at King Abdullah Sports City. According to Bahrain News Agency, the UAE secured the top position in the group with seven points, edging out Qatar on goal difference. This result sets up a semi-final clash against Oman, the runners-up from Group A. Qatar, having finished second in Group B, will face Group A winners Saudi Arabia in the other semi-final. During the match, Almoez Ali put Qatar ahead in the 33rd minute, but the UAE's Ali Saleh equalized in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time. The semi-final matches are scheduled for next Saturday. The UAE will compete against Oman at 10:30 pm UAE time at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City, while Qatar will take on Saudi Arabia at 7:55 pm at King Abdullah Sports City.
