Kabul: Two strong aftershocks struck eastern Afghanistan within 12 hours, the German Research Centre for Geosciences reported on Friday.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the tremors follow two earlier earthquakes that caused extensive destruction, with the death toll estimated at 2,205 and 3,640 injured as of Thursday.
