Georgia: Georgia’s Rauli Tutarauli won the BRAVE CF Interim Lightweight World Championship, marking a milestone for Georgian mixed martial arts at BRAVE CF: Georgia vs the World, held at the Tbilisi New Sports Palace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was organized by BRAVE Combat Federation in partnership with Georgian Fighting Championship (GFC). It was part of the fifth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week – Georgia 2025 and featured nine bouts between Georgian and international fighters.
In the main event, Tutarauli defeated Dutch contender Pieter ‘The Archangel’ Buist by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46), becoming the first Georgian to win BRAVE CF gold. He controlled the fight from the opening round with dominant wrestling and nearly secured victory with an arm-triangle choke in the second round. Tutarauli is now expected to face reigning champion Abdisalam Uulu ‘Omok’ Kubanychbek in a title-unification bout.
In the co-main event, Lasha Abramishvili defeated Tajikistan’s Khurshed Nazarov by first-round technical knockout. Mukhrani Narsavidze earned a first-round submission win over Moldova’s Gheorghe Gritko, while Luka Giorgadze won a unanimous decision against Reymond Jowett. Borena Tsertsvadze prevailed by first-round submission against Khanim Bashirova, and Badri Focxverashvili secured a unanimous decision over France’s Levy Carriel.
Among the visiting fighters, Pakistan’s Ismail ‘The Volcano’ Khan maintained his unbeaten record with a first-round submission against Elmir Jafarov. Kazakhstan’s Timur Kuanysh defeated Dimitri Bolkvadze by decision, and Bulgaria’s Nikolay Atanasov opened the night with a split-decision win over Adigozel Guliyev.
