Turkish leader urges protecting “honor, dignity, Gaza children”

ANKARA, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday called on all world countries to protect the “honor and dignity, as well as the children of Gaza”, and to take a clear stance against uncontrollable Israeli occupation barbarism.

The Turkish leader made the remarks in a statement on X, formerly Twitter, marking the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

He voiced regret that “more than 15,000 children have been barbarically murdered in Gaza since October 7”.

“It is not only children and babies who are murdered in Gaza, but also humanity. Unfortunately, the world failed this test,” Erdogan added.

More than 36,439 Palestinians have been martyred and at least t82,627 others wounded since Israeli occupation forces launched their aggression on October 7th.
