Tunisian Foreign Minister Meets GCC Ambassadors to Address Iranian Attacks


Tunis: Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, held a meeting with ambassadors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries accredited to Tunisia. The meeting was chaired by Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Eid, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Tunisia, reflecting Bahrain’s current presidency of the GCC.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the ambassadors addressed the recent Iranian attacks on GCC countries, which included strikes on civilian and residential areas resulting in casualties and damage. They urged Iran to comply with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026) and halt such actions.



The Tunisian minister expressed solidarity with the GCC states, reaffirming Tunisia’s commitment to international law and rejection of any violations of GCC countries’ sovereignty. He also acknowledged the support provided by GCC countries to the Tunisian community.



Both parties emphasized the need for continued coordination to bolster regional security.
