Doha: A delegation led by Bader Hood Al Mahmood, Undersecretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, represented Bahrain at the 26th GCC Ministerial Committee Meeting on Transportation in Doha, bringing together transportation ministers from GCC member states. The delegation included Hussain Ali Yaqoob, assistant undersecretary for land transport, Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee reviewed agenda items and the implementation of decisions related to cooperation in land and maritime transport among GCC states. Topics and studies concerning the GCC Railway Authority, the operational plan for the project, the land transport strategy, and green corridor initiatives for ports were also discussed.
Bader Hood highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation and integration among GCC countries in the fields of transportation, emphasizing the vital role this sector plays in supporting economic devel
opment and growth in the region.
