Transportation Minister Receives Saudi Ambassador in Manama

Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, received Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, the newly appointed Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain. The meeting emphasized the longstanding ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, highlighting their development across multiple sectors. The minister credited this progress to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed highlighted the importance of the economic and strategic partnership between the two nations, particularly within the framework of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council. This council is co-chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

The minister reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to advance the outcomes of the third Coordination Committee meeting, with a focus on investment, environment, and infrastructure. He emphasized ongoing cooperation in developing the transportation, telecommunications, and logistics sectors, as well as the importance of railway and connectivity projects across land, sea, and air.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed wished Ambassador Al Sudairi success in his diplomatic mission. In response, Ambassador Al Sudairi expressed his gratitude to the minister for his dedication to enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange, and he wished Bahrain continued prosperity and progress.
