Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, met with Abdullah bin Amer Al Swaha, Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed underscored Bahrain's dedication to strengthening its strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia in the fields of communications, information technology, and digital infrastructure, aligning with both Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and Saudi Vision 2030.
The discussions between the two ministers revolved around economic integration and the outcomes of the third meeting of the Coordination Committee on Investment, Environment, and Infrastructure under the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council. Key topics included plans for a new submarine communications cable, collaboration in digital entrepreneurship, and the development of training programs in technology and artificial intelligence, all aimed at supporting sustainable development goals in both nations.
Al Swaha highlighted the mutual commitment to fostering technological innovation and advancing the digital economy to achieve shared prosperity.
