Berlin: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, met Patrick Schnieder, Federal Minister for Transport of the Federal Republic of Germany, on the sidelines of the ILA Berlin Air Show 2026. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qurainees, Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, was present.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed means to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and Germany in the fields of transport, infrastructure, and logistics services. The two sides also reviewed opportunities for exchanging expertise and successful experiences in a manner that supports the development of this sector and enhances its efficiency.
The meeting highlighted the importance of benefiting from modern technologies and innovative solutions to improve transport systems and promote sustainability, in line with global trends towards developing a more efficient and resilient transport sector, while supporting efforts to strengthen logistics connectivity and facilitate transport and trade movement.
Both sides affirmed their keenness to continue coordination and cooperation and to explore further partnership opportunities that would contribute to supporting economic development and strengthening the position of the transport and logistics sector as one of the key sectors supporting growth and competitiveness.
