Transportation Minister Highlights Bahrain’s Transport and Telecom Future at US Chamber of Commerce Event

Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, participated as the guest of honour and keynote speaker at the "Keynote Address and Panel Discussion: Navigating Bahrain's Future of Transportation and Telecommunications" event organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Bahrain. The event was attended by senior executives, ambassadors, industry leaders, and experts from Bahrain and the United States.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed commended the deep strategic relations between Bahrain and the United States, highlighting cooperation in aviation, logistics, digital economy, big data, and technology investment. He emphasized that these sectors benefit from the Free Trade Agreement and Bahrain's attractive investment environment.

The panel discussion focused on the future of transport and communications in Bahrain, exploring opportunities for American and international companies to contribute to the country's development in smart mobility, logistics, and telecommunications.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain, established in 2004 following the US-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement, underscored its commitment to strengthening bilateral trade, connecting businesses, sharing knowledge, and supporting business growth across transport, communications, and logistics sectors.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed highlighted Bahrain's vision to solidify its position as a regional hub in transport and communications, reflecting the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
