Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, commended the successful launch of Bahrain's Al Munther satellite, highlighting its role in strengthening the Kingdom's position in space, remote sensing, and advanced technology.
According to Bahrain News Agency, he attributed this achievement to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, and the guidance of Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed commended the efforts of the Bahrain Space Team, supervised by the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), for their dedication and expertise in successfully launching Al Munther. He noted the satellite's artificial intelligence capabilities for image analysis, advanced cybersecurity systems, and the contributions of Bahraini engineers and researchers.
The minister emphasised that the success of Al Munther will drive further progress in space and technology, encouraging investment in national expertise. He added that Bahrain's focus on technological advancement aligns with its long-term development goals and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 within the framework of the Kingdom's continuous development process.
