London: Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, led the Bahraini delegation participating in the World Travel Market London 2024, held in the UK on November 5-7. This participation supports efforts to strengthen ties with the UK market, a key focus within Bahrain's Tourism Strategy 2022-2026. According to Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain's pavilion includes Gulf Air Group Holding, Exhibition World Bahrain, the national carrier Gulf Air, the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and a number of travel and tourism agencies, hotels, and resorts. Minister Al Sairafi affirmed that the Kingdom is taking steady steps towards strengthening its position as a leading tourist destination in the region in the fields of travel, entertainment, and hospitality. Bahrain enjoys a wide array of tourism assets, including advanced infrastructure, the strategic location, and being the only archipelago in the Middle East, she added. The minister elaborated that this participation aims to enhance strategic partnerships with international entities specialised in the tourism sector, in addition to discussing means of cooperation with partners from around the world in support of tourism sector development in Bahrain. She noted that the private sector's involvement in Bahrain's pavilion highlights its vital role in the Kingdom's tourism industry. She also highlighted that Bahrain's pavilion will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the most prominent tourist attractions offered by the Kingdom, including renowned archaeological and cultural sites and coastal areas. The pavilion will further spotlight Bahraini hospitality and traditional cuisine, reflecting the cultural diversity of the Kingdom.
