Tourism Minister Explores Summer Events at Exhibition World Bahrain

Manama: Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, made a tour of the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), attended by representatives of local media outlets. The tour included the Bahrain Summer Toys Festival, the Haunted House theatrical production, Youth City 2030, and the Summer Sports City, which forms part of Youth City.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Sairafi affirmed that the Bahrain Summer Toys Festival, organised in cooperation with Beyon Al Dana Theatre, has established itself as one of the Kingdom's leading family attractions during the summer season, thanks to its continually evolving programme, diverse activities, and growing visitor turnout. She said the festival offers a comprehensive entertainment experience that enriches the summer calendar and caters to all members of the family.

Al Sairafi said the Exhibition World Bahrain is distinguished by its ability to host multiple events simultaneously, offering a wide range of attractions that cater to different interests and age groups. She noted that this enables citizens, residents and visitors, particularly those from the GCC countries, to enjoy a comprehensive experience in a single destination.

She added that the diversity of events is a key pillar in developing Bahrain's tourism offering, stimulating tourism and economic activity, and supporting the hospitality, restaurant, retail and transport sectors.

The minister also highlighted the staging of Haunted House, one of the Gulf's most successful theatrical productions, saying it reflects Bahrain's ability to attract high-profile audience-focused performances that enrich the annual events calendar, diversify the Kingdom's tourism offering, and expand entertainment options for citizens, residents and visitors.

She noted that the EWB is also hosting the Fanzone event during the current period, describing it as a valuable addition to the summer events calendar that reflects Bahrain's ability to keep pace with major international sporting events through high-quality experiences that enrich the season and broaden entertainment choices.

During the tour, the minister also visited Youth City 2030, where she commended its expansion this year through the allocation of a dedicated hall for the Summer Sports City. She said this demonstrates the flexibility of the EWB's infrastructure, its capacity to accommodate major national initiatives, and its ability to provide an environment that supports their growth and development.

Concluding the tour, Minister Al Sairafi said the wide range of events hosted at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre during the summer season reflects the strong coordination among relevant entities and underscores Bahrain's ability to deliver an integrated programme of events and initiatives that reinforce its position as a year-round regional destination for events. She added that these efforts contribute to boosting tourism and economic activity while enhancing the quality of life for citizens, residents and visitors.
