Manama: Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, welcomed a delegation from the Russia-Bahrain Parliamentary Friendship Group led by Mohammed Ahmedov, Deputy Chairman of the Social Policy Committee at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The meeting highlighted the growing bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, with a particular focus on tourism as a means of cultural and civilisational exchange.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Sairafi emphasized the mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors, notably tourism. She discussed strategies for attracting Russian visitors through collaborative promotional initiatives and the creation of events and attractions specifically designed for Russian tourists.
The Russian-Bahraini Friendship Group delegation praised the Ministry of Tourism's efforts to position Bahrain as a leading global tourism destination. They also expressed a keen interest in broadening cooperation in the tourism, economic, and cultural arenas.
