Tourism Minister Chairs BETA Board Meeting Focused on Strategic Growth

Manama: The Board of Directors of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BETA) held its regular meeting, chaired by Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and BETA Board Chairperson. The meeting focused on Bahrain's tourism sector performance and strategic growth plans.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Sara Ahmed Buhiji, BTEA CEO, attended the meeting where the Board reviewed the performance of Bahrain's tourism sector for the third quarter of 2025. They evaluated progress against the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, aimed at boosting tourism's contribution to the national economy, elevating Bahrain's status as a global destination, expanding target markets, and diversifying the visitor experience.

The Board discussed marketing plans for six priority markets, including GCC states, India, the UK, Germany, China, and the recently added French market, identified as a high-potential source of visitors through recent data analysis. Presentations were made by BETA's various departments, alongside updates from the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre and Vatel Bahrain Hospitality College.

Discussions included upcoming campaigns, notably the "Brightened by Your Presence" initiative launched for Saudi National Day, and preparations for Bahrain's 2025 holiday season.
