Manama: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the third edition of the Bahrain International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Sports is set to take place. This initiative is organized by the General Sports Authority (GSA) in collaboration with the HH Shaikh Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre (NAIRDC), the International Group of Artificial Intelligence (IGOAI), and the 'I'm Talented' programme.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad has emphasized the significance of the conference, highlighting the growing importance of AI technologies and their impact on the sports sector. His Highness remarked that the world is experiencing major transformations where AI plays a crucial role, with sports now being one of the key fields leveraging this technology.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also pointed out the GSA's dedication to collaborating with local entities interested in AI. This collaboration aims to unlock new opportunities for the sports community, helping it to align with global advancements. The focus is on supporting administrative, technical, and organizational progress in the sports sector through AI technologies. His Highness praised the successful cooperation with NAIRDC and IGOAI over the past years.
Scheduled to be held online on April 24, the conference will host international speakers who specialize in AI in sports. The previous editions of the conference attracted participation from over 320 individuals across 21 countries.
