Speaker of the Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, met today, Tuesday, with the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.
During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Halbousi’s office, they discussed developments in the political, security and economic conditions on the Iraqi and regional arenas, emphasizing the upgrading of services provided to citizens, and the implementation of infrastructure projects, especially after the approval of the general budget law.
The two sides also discussed coordination mechanisms between the House of Representatives and the Presidency of the Republic in presenting and approving legislation that affects the lives of citizens, as well as preparations for holding provincial elections on time, and ensuring their integrity and transparency.
