Baghdad: Today, Saturday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received a phone call from the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
A statement from his office stated, ‘Rashid congratulated the Emir of Kuwait on the occasion of the Happy Eid, wishing continued progress and prosperity to the brotherly Kuwaiti people, while Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah congratulated Rashid, expressing his wishes for security, stability and prosperity to the brotherly Iraqi people.’
During the phone call – according to the statement – the strong relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields were emphasized, and the importance of working to develop and strengthen them, and continuing coordination and consultation on issues of common interest.
