The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, confirmed the follow-up of the file for the recovery of the person named Salwan Momika.
The Judicial Council stated in a statement, today, Monday, that “the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, attended the presidencies meeting in the presence of the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the Prime Minister, Muhammad al-Sudani, and the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi.”
The statement added: “The meeting discussed a number of issues, including judicial and governmental procedures in following up the file of recovering the accused of burning the Holy Qur’an called “Salwan Momika “, as well as procedures for ensuring the security of diplomatic missions and holding the perpetrators of the crime of burning and vandalizing the headquarters of diplomatic missions accountable.”
