The oldest member of the Diyala Council, Turki Al-Atbi, launched an initiative to resolve the crisis of forming the local government in the province
Al-Atbi said in a statement .. In my capacity as the oldest member of the Diyala Provincial Council, it is my duty to be part of resolving the crisis of forming the local government, which has been going on for nearly five months since its first session, and the political blocs are fighting among themselves with two conflicting teams, each team following a policy of arm-twisting to win the formation of the government. ”
He added that the initiative calls for holding a session that includes all members of the council, and each team presents its candidate for the position of governor, and whoever gets the highest votes will be governor of Diyala, and in this way “the crisis is resolved.
He continued that whoever fails to attend this call is the one who is working to disrupt the government and bears full responsibility towards our people.
