The Ministry of Justice announced, today, Wednesday, that the National Committee for Writing International Reports has ratified the unified basic document of the Republic of Iraq.
A statement by the Ministry of Justice stated that: ‘Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani chaired a regular meeting of the National Committee for Writing International Human Rights Reports, which includes representatives of the ministries and institutions concerned with this matter and the relevant official bodies.’
It added: “During the meeting, a discussion took place among the members regarding the combined periodic report, the twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh, and the observations were reviewed and proposals were presented on the topics contained in the two aforementioned reports.”
The statement pointed out that: ‘The unified basic document of the Republic of Iraq was approved, and the committee decided to make the necessary amendments and continue updating the information in the report on the elimination of all forms of racial
discrimination.
