Istanbul: The head of the Turkish Intelligence Service, Ibrahim Kalin, discussed with the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, the course of negotiations aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza.
Turkish media sources reported that Kalin discussed in a phone call with Haniyeh the stage reached by the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, and the steps that must be taken to ensure a permanent ceasefire, the exchange of prisoners, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
During the phone call, Kalin reiterated Turkey’s position in support of the Palestinian cause and its continued standing by the Palestinian people.
