The Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Ali Al-Qara Daghi, said that burning the Qur'an is "racism, not freedom, and individual brutality supported by the official authorities, which should not be tolerated."
The Gulf Cooperation Council affirmed: "Such actions" indicate hatred, and extremism," calling for "the need for the Swedish authorities to move to stop them" immediately.
The Arab Parliament said: "What happened is an inciting act that would inflame the feelings of Muslims around the world," denouncing the Swedish authorities' continuation of such "provocations."
