Tamkeen Supports Development of Wyndham Beach Club Resort in Bahrain Bay

Manama: The Labour Fund "Tamkeen" has announced its backing for the Wyndham Grand Hotel Manama in developing the Wyndham Beach Club Resort, a new waterfront destination aimed at enhancing Bahrain's tourism sector. The announcement was made during the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2025, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Wyndham Beach Club Resort will serve as a significant addition to Bahrain's tourism landscape, featuring a range of unique facilities that are the first of their kind in the Kingdom. This initiative is expected to generate 34 employment opportunities for local talent, demonstrating the tourism sector's role as a key driver of economic growth.

The Wyndham Beach Club Resort is part of five plots under the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA)'s initiatives to position Bahrain Bay as a leading waterfront tourism destination. Through this effort, Tamkeen aims to stimulate economic growth within the tourism sector and solidify Bahrain's status as a premier tourism and leisure destination in the region.

Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), highlighted that the initiative supports national projects that bolster Bahrain's status as a leading entertainment and tourism hub. She emphasized that this aligns with the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, which seeks to establish Bahrain as a world-class destination while promoting tourism diversity, innovation, and job creation for Bahrainis.

Ahmed Al Qaed, Chairman of Al Qaed Group, noted that the project, unveiled during the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2025, is a pivotal advancement for Bahrain's tourism sector. He stated that Tamkeen's support strengthens the company's vision to deliver an innovative leisure and hospitality project, in line with Bahrain's aspiration of becoming a top global tourism destination.

This collaboration is in line with Tamkeen's strategic priorities for 2025, focusing on enhancing the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping them with skills for career development, and emphasizing enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability.
