Tamkeen Hosts Event Showcasing Growth of Bahraini Enterprises in Local and Regional Markets

Manama: The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) recently organized a significant event attended by key figures such as Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, and Dalal Al Ghais, Chief Executive of the Bahrain Development Bank Group. Other attendees included Tamkeen Board members and officials from both the public and private sectors. The event was centered around showcasing the growth and expansion experiences of several Bahraini enterprises.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the gathering was part of a collaborative effort between the SME Development Board-which includes entities like Tamkeen, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and the Bahrain Development Bank-and the "StartUp Bahrain" initiative. A key feature of the event was a panel discussion involving notable investors, entrepreneurs, and experts from different economic sectors. The discussion focused on crucial investor priorities, funding opportunities, and growth prospects, with participation from figures such as Luca Barbi, Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Saudi Technology Ventures (STV), Karim Abadir, Investing Partner at BECO Capital, and Walid Mansour, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at MEVP.

The event also placed a spotlight on several remarkable Bahraini enterprises. Founders from companies like Eat App, Flooss, Lola, and Remote Apps shared their insights regarding their growth and expansion within local and regional markets. This event was part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, an initiative by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), featuring numerous activities that highlight global entrepreneurship developments.

Tamkeen has committed to making this event an annual celebration, reflecting its dedication to supporting innovation and bolstering the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Bahrain.
