Tamkeen Concludes Participation of 15 Bahraini Startups at Web Summit 2026

Doha: The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) concluded its participation at the Web Summit Qatar, held from February 1 to 4, in the State of Qatar, with the participation of 15 Bahraini technology startups, and in collaboration with both the "Economic Development Board" and "Export Bahrain".

According to Bahrain News Agency, Web Summit is one of the world's leading global events in technology and innovation, bringing together thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, and technology leaders from around the world to discuss the latest trends and developments in this rapidly growing sector.

Tamkeen's support aligns with the Fund's strategic priorities for 2026, focusing on areas with high economic contribution and supporting Bahrainis. The initiative aims to connect skills with market job opportunities, stimulate private sector growth, and enhance governance and institutional culture through innovative approaches.

During this year's edition, 15 Bahraini startups contributed to strengthening the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. This effort supports local emerging ventures' growth and enables them to expand into global markets. Tamkeen's ongoing efforts aim to support startups in various development stages across diverse economic sectors, facilitating access to international platforms for experience and knowledge acquisition.

A noteworthy partnership agreement was signed between Bahraini company Unlabelled and Clemta in the United States, aiming to empower entrepreneurs to expand globally. This partnership will allow Unlabelled users to establish businesses in the United States, aiming for startup expansion beyond local markets. Additionally, Unlabelled signed a cooperation agreement with Digico Solutions in Saudi Arabia, specializing in cloud computing solutions. This partnership offers Unlabelled users enhanced features, including AI-powered online stores and improved website performance, contributing to operational efficiency.

Several other Bahraini institutions also succeeded in securing partnerships and cooperation opportunities, which are expected to translate into tangible results soon.

Web Summit Qatar attracts over 30,000 participants from 124 countries, alongside more than 800 investors and 1,600 technology startups. It is one of the largest global technology events, attended by over 600 media representatives and 400 speakers discussing advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, fintech, energy, digital government, health, and industry.
