Tamkeen and Reboot Coding Institute Collaborate to Train 750 Bahrainis in Full-Stack Development

Manama: The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has partnered with Reboot Coding Institute, supported by the French educational platform 01Edu, to train 750 Bahrainis in full-stack development. This initiative continues Tamkeen's commitment to equipping Bahrainis with skills for in-demand jobs in the technology sector.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the collaboration builds on Tamkeen's successful partnership with Reboot over the past two years, during which 350 Bahrainis participated in coding programmes. Sixty of these students secured employment in the private sector, with some transitioning into tech careers from fields like financial services and engineering.

Reboot Coding Institute provides a two-year training programme aimed at empowering individuals without tech backgrounds to become full-stack developers. This is achieved through an innovative 'learning by doing' and project-based methodology. The programme emphasizes employment readiness by aligning skills with market requirements, supported by job-matching initiatives and job fairs with private sector partners.

Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, highlighted the fund's dedication to developing a national workforce that is prepared for the demands of a digital economy. Tamkeen's goal is to make Bahrainis the preferred choice for employers by offering specialized training opportunities that open doors to high-demand careers in tech.

Mofeez also noted the importance of tech training in preparing a future-ready workforce. She praised Reboot Coding Institute for its success in delivering quality training at an international standard and preparing Bahrainis to thrive in the labor market.

This partnership aligns with Tamkeen's strategic priorities for 2025, which focus on enhancing the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping them with skills for career development, and supporting enterprise growth and digitisation.

Yanal Jallad, Managing Director of Reboot Coding Institute, acknowledged Tamkeen's role in fostering Bahraini talent and supporting the country's digital transformation by equipping the market with skilled tech professionals.

Reboot Coding Institute offers flexible learning that allows students to specialize in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Blockchain, Cloud DevOps, Game Development, Web and Mobile Development, Cybersecurity, and Java Full Stack Development.

Bahrainis interested in joining the training program can apply through Reboot's website: reboot01.com. Applicants must be Bahraini nationals aged 18 and above, with no prior experience in software engineering required.
